Tonight we mowed our lawn and cleaned up our apple tree. There were lots of apples on the ground and many more in the tree, weighing the branches down...
While Grant was mowing the lawn, Kaedynce and I were picking up the apples off the ground and Gunnar was sitting next to me chasing a ladybug in the grass.
The lady bug would crawl up his arm and on his hand, and Gunnar would not take his eyes off of it!! It was super cute to watch. I would take the ladybug off of him and he would go after it again; once he found it that is...
While I was grabbing a couple apples, Gunnar found the ladybug, and before I could stop him, he had it in his mouth!!!! YUCK! I stuck my, not so clean finger in his mouth to get the ladybug out.... It was still alive, and in one piece. I could barely believe it!
That kid will put ANYTHING in his mouth!!!
Kaedynce earned a full dollar tonight helping gather the apples off the ground. We had to trim some branches and shook a bunch of apples out of the tree to lighten the load on its branches... There were LOTS of apples to pick up, and she got a quarter each time she filled her ice cream bucket. Not bad for a two year old to stay interested long enough to earn a full dollar!
